Douglas G. Day, MD
Dr. Day is a highly regarded glaucoma specialist practicing at Woolfson Eye Institute. Recognized as a pioneer in his field, he is actively involved in the research into and treatment of glaucoma through advancements in surgical and medical management. Dr. Day has authored numerous papers and clinical perspectives that have appeared in peer-reviewed journals and has been an invited lecturer on his extensive clinical research into glaucoma.

Through his work on new surgical and medical techniques, Dr. Day has helped develop faster and better testing for the detection and tracking of glaucoma. Due to his groundbreaking glaucoma treatment approaches, he is frequently asked to consult and advise pharmaceutical companies and ophthalmic device manufacturers.
Accomplishments and Memberships
Dr. Day is a member of the Robert N. Shaffer Glaucoma Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. He completed his internship at the University of Texas and his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and the University of Illinois, Eye and Ear Infirmary, Chicago. He completed his fellowship in glaucoma at the University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco.
