The advanced TECNIS® Multifocal is an implantable lens that restores vision (often after cataract surgery) and corrects presbyopia that would otherwise force patients to wear reading glasses. The TECNIS® Multifocal Lens provides patients with high-quality vision at any distance and in practically any lighting conditions, including low light.

The advanced TECNIS® Multifocal Lens enables you to see clearly at near, intermediate, and far distances without glasses in all light conditions. As one example, when driving with these lenses, patients are able to clearly see the rearview mirror – an object up close, the hood of the car – intermediate distance, as well as other cars on the road – greater distances.
Patients diagnosed with cataracts may be a candidate for the TECNIS® Multifocal Lens if they are experiencing the following symptoms: difficulty reading, difficulty seeing close objects, difficulty seeing to drive – especially at night, changing glasses prescriptions, or have a need for bifocals. Your WEI doctor will discuss the TECNIS® Multifocal Lens with you and help you decide if it is a good fit for your lifestyle and eye health.
