Injectible fillers are a great way to improve the contours of your face and restore your youthful appearance without surgery and with little to no downtime. Injectible fillers are used for:

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that we normally have in our bodies. Restylane and Juvederm are hyaluronic acid-based fillers that are injected intradermally, midway into the skin, whereas Perlane is injected into deeper layers of the skin. Results from hyaluronic acid products typically last at least six months and often times longer.

Restylane®

Restylane® is a dermal filler that is a clear gel, non-animal-based hyaluronic acid (a naturally modified occurring sugar molecule). Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips, fill volume deficiencies and to improve other facial features.

It is most often performed with local anesthesia, especially if the lip is being treated. Topical anesthesia will also be used, if appropriate. Depending upon the extent of the treatment, the procedure can take from a few minutes to about 30 minutes. There is minimal downtime from bruising and swelling afterwards, depending on the area being treated, and makeup can generally be applied the next day.

Perlane®

Perlane®, is another hyaluronic acid based dermal filler and is a longer-lasting gel that, once injected into the skin lifts and adds volume and helps diminish wrinkles and folds. It also raises the skin and 'fills in' the particular wrinkle or fold being treated.

The difference between Restylane® and Perlane® is the size of the particle (with Perlane® containing more hyaluronic acid). Perlane® is more appropriate for filling deeper wrinkles or folds and the effects can last up to 1 year.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus

JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus is an injectible hyaluronic acid-based gel from Allergan which comes in 2 formulations: with and without 0.3% premixed preservative-free lidocaine. JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus is a smooth consistency gel commonly used for lips, nasolabial folds, and under the corners of the mouth.

The effects of JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus typically last up to 1 year.

Hydrelle™

Hydrelle™ is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid facial filler premixed with lidocaine. A natural, comfortable, and long-lasting way to fill facial wrinkles and volume defects.

Hydrelle™ is a technologically advanced formulation that is clinically proven to be safe and effective. It delivers the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid available, and even 1 syringe can dramatically improve the appearance of your wrinkles. Effects may also last up to 1 year.

Calcium Based Facial Filler

RADIESSE®

RADIESSE® dermal filler is made up of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, and it is injected deeper into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure. RADIESSE® dermal filler is an ideal choice for total facial contouring.

Upon injection, it immediately adds volume to safely contour, correct, and enhance facial features. With its patented microsphere technology, it starts a process called collagenesis, stimulating your body to produce new collagen and promoting tissue strengthening around the injected area.
