SURGICAL - UPPER FACE
When the skin is in the process of recovering from an injury, whether the result of an accident, surgery, burn, or acne, scarring will occur. Scarring occurs wherever multiple layers of the skin have been affected. Once a scar forms, it can be permanent…but it may be made less visible, or completely relocated surgically.
Surgery can narrow, fade, and otherwise reduce the appearance of severe or unattractive scarring, which is especially helpful in areas of cosmetic importance such as the face and hands. Laser resurfacing can also be very helpful in certain cases.
Anyone considering facial scar revision must understand that there is no way to completely remove scars. The goal is to improve the appearance of the scar either by disguising it, relocating it, or minimizing its prominence. There are several important factors to consider such as skin color, skin type, age, and location of scar that will be a part of the discussion before surgery.

"Have
you ever felt that you've been given a new lease on life? That's
exactly how I feel since I've had LASIK. Instead of green fuzz
around a tree trunk, I can now actually see the outline of the
leaves. I have the chance again to enjoy so many of the little
things in our everyday life that we take so much for granted. Thank
you so much, Dr. Woolfson, for renewing my eyesight and giving me
the chance to see clearly again."
