Duy Nguyen, OD

Dr. Nguyen is the first-generation doctor in his family. He moved to America from Vietnam at the age of 17 to learn English in order to chase after his dream to become an eye doctor. He completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. He then studied optometry and earned his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. After he graduated in 2020, he partnered with an international organization called Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) to teach optometry at Hanoi Medical University in Vietnam through zoom due to COVID travel restriction.

Dr. Nguyen completed an externship here in Atlanta where he focused his training on keratoconus screenings, assisted in the LASIK clinics, including providing evaluation and pre-/post-operative services.

Dr. Nguyen enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, rock climbing, and traveling. When he is not spending time outside, Dr. Nguyen likes to build custom desktops from individual computer parts and mechanical keyboards. His favorite martial arts are Kendo (Japanese swordsmanship) and kickboxing.
